KOLINTANG!!!!!

Kolintang

I am currently taking music for PVA, our music teacher is Ibu Megan. She is very kind and also very funny, so far it is a very fun class. Some of my friends are also in this class so it makes the class a lot more fun.

The Kolintang is from North Sulaweri (Minahasa) currently, I play the bass with my friend Audria (audriaberry.blogspot.com), we share it. It is a very fun type of Kolintang, we use the dark brown mallets because they are harder than the rest of the mallets, this is also used for the Contras. The dark green mallets are for Melody and Alto, the light green ones used for Tenar. Kolintangs are simillar to the xylophones, i've never played the xylophone. I want to play the bass forever because i can't play the rest, they're to difficult to play i get very confused.
